I've been a fan of limericks for as long as I can remember and I'm happy to know that Yves and I share the same interest. :D
Not to mention that Literature can somehow be boring, the moment Maam Janet mentioned the word LIMERICK, jolted me to pay attention to her. Haha.
So yeah. Here are some of the limericks that I have EVER written:

Limerick I
I was walking down the house of Francis
when I saw a dog drop some feces
with that terrible smell
that I just couldn't dwell
I ran home to do my thesis.

I was inside the supermart
when I had the urge to fart.
With so much people within,
I just flashed a big, wide grin
and explained it's my work of art.

The people flashed me a stare
So I replied with a glare
